Boko Haram has assumed control over 500 communities in Niger state, says LGA executive
Boko Haram insurgent have taken over in excess of 500 communities in Shiroro LGA, Niger State, as indicated by Shiroro chairman Suleiman Chukuba.
Talking with journalist on Friday, September 30, Chukuba said at the very least 8 wards in the LGA are currently under Boko Haram attack.
He said the affected area are Manta, Gurmana, Bassa-Kokki, Allawa, Kurebe, Kushaka, Kwati, Chukuba and Galadima Kogo.
He said: "They join individuals of those community by letting them know they have arms and cash to give them so they can help them in battling the public authority.
"Shiroro neighborhood government has an uncountable number of Boko Haram insurgent.
"I have the confirmation being that I am the executive chairman, the main security official of the neighborhood government. At the point when they go to the different community, what they tell them is that 'We don't need primary school, secondary schools. We just need Islamiyya schools'."
The local government chairman approached the federal government to convey greater security agents to the space to battle the radicals who have made Shiroro their home
