The Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, says it has started conference with its branches across Nigeria to settle on closing down public universities. This follows the lapse of the three-week final offer gave to the Federal Government ASUU had on November 15, given the ultimatum proposal, requesting that the FG satisfy its needs or face another strike. Tansian universiersity, Umunya, Anambra in partnership with Chartered Institute of Educational Practitioners, U.K., CIEPUK, has granted full scholarship to 5,000 repented commercial sex workers and vulnerable people. Prof. Marcel Ezenwoye, the National President, CIEPUK, made this known to newsmen in Abuja on Tuesday. Mr Ezenwoye said that the beneficiaries were drawn from the 36 state of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory, FCT. "Tansian University, Umunya in Anambra State has awarded full scholarship to 5,000 repented commercial sex workers and vulnerable women from each of the 36 States of the federation and the FCT.
